Welcome
to the Harvard Kennedy School of Government Alumni Association
of the Philippines website. We are pleased to share with you
our window to the world.
The
common thread unifying our Filipino and international members
is our idealism of making a difference. Our members in government
and private sectors have the relentless enthusiasm and commitment
to change the world. Shaping the debate in the country through
sharing of information and consulting with stakeholders is
an exciting approach that our members espouse. Books, articles
and speeches of our members are shared in our website to give
a glimpse of the diversity of our interests.
We
are honored to have Philippines Presidents recognize the talents
of our Harvard Alumni. Presidents have appointed many alumni
to Cabinet Secretary and Undersecretary positions where public
service is paramount. The Filipino people have elected many
of our members to Congress who truly contributed to the legislative
process in the country. Some alumni are elected officials managing
many local government units resulting into excellent improvements
in the country side. In the donor community of United States
Agency for International Development, Asian Development Bank
and United Nations Development Program, KSG Alumni have taken
top management positions.
The
Harvard KSG Alumni Association is family to our members. The
camaraderie is fun and supportive. The Association has reached
out not just to members in the Philippines but to classmates
in other countries in Asia and the Pacific. The Philippine
alumni value networking that could lead to better international
collaboration for economic growth and peace. This website will
be linked to the KSG Alumni Office in Cambridge. We have initiated
discussions with our counterparts in Japan to link our respective
websites and to explore activities that will benefit the region.
We hope to be in contact with other alumni associations to
exchange experiences that will improve governance in our respective
countries.
