Arnel Casanova Only Filipino Graduate of MPA '07

Arnel Casanova made his mark at the HKS as one of the founders of AvantChange, an Asian Network of Social Enterprise Incubators organized in Cambridge, Massachusetts. AvantChange puts students in charge of engaging government officials, non-profit professionals and business executives to create for- profit organizations with social missions. Arnel launched the first AvantChange project with Ateneo School of Government in June 2007. It offered a one-year social entrepreneurship curriculum to graduate and undergraduate students. Students will develop social business plan for competition. A similar course was launched in the Chulalongkorn University in Thailand under the auspices of Kriengsak Chareonwongsak, MPA'07 and Member of Parliament in Thailand.
